The spotlight is on 22-year-old Jharrel Jerome, who yesterday won the Best Actor's Critic's Choice Awards for his work on Netflix's "Eyes Damn" series. He had already won the Emmy for the same work.
In an interview with Variety, he talked about what it's like to live this moment in his career:
“It's been a dream. When you dream of being an actor, you don't know exactly what kind of actor you will be or what role you will play. So, because I'm in this position at this age, I'm very grateful. ”
And this young star is already eyeing the universe of superheroes. When asked what the “role of dreams” would be, Jerome did not hesitate:
“Miles Morales the Spider-Man in live action”
The problem is that neither Marvel nor Sony seems to be intent on getting the character to the big screen in a live-action version anytime soon. For now, he is likely to appear again following the animated movie “Spider-Man in the Spider-Man”, where he is voiced by Shameik Moore.
